This policy explains what personal data DiscoShift collects when you join our waitlist or use this website, why, and what your rights are under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations).

Who we are

DiscoShift ("we", "us") is the data controller for the information described here. You can contact us at hello@discoshift.app.

What we collect

When you join the waitlist we collect:

• Workers:your name, email, student status, the area you'd work, and the roles you can do.
• Venues: your venue name, your name, work email, and rough shift volume.
• Basic technical information (e.g. browser type) and, if you consent to cookies, anonymous analytics about how you use the site.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

• To contact you about DiscoShift and let you know when we launch — based on your consent, given when you join the waitlist.
• To run and improve the waitlist and site — based on our legitimate interests in building the service.
• For website analytics — only where you give consent via the cookie banner.

Cookies

We don't use tracking cookies unless you accept them. If you click "Accept" on the cookie banner we load Google Analytics, which sets cookies to measure site usage anonymously. We also store a small cookie to remember your cookie choice. You can decline with no loss of functionality.

How long we keep it

We keep waitlist details until we launch and for a reasonable period afterwards, or until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them — whichever comes first.

Sharing

We don't sell your data. We use trusted service providers to run the service (for hosting, our database, and analytics), who process data on our behalf under contract.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To unsubscribe from emails, use the link in any email or the unsubscribe page. For anything else, email hello@discoshift.app.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes

We may update this policy; we'll change the date above when we do.
